What is Perkins?
Perkins is a grant in place to grow and support Career and Technical Education (CTE) Programs by preparing students for workforce success. This includes assisting students that are pursuing an Associate in Applied Science or eligible certificate program.
 Who Qualifies for Perkins Support?
The Perkins support is intended for students who are academically or economically disadvantaged and enrolled in an approved Career and Technical Education Program. This includes students who are:
- An individual with disabilities
- An individual from an economically disadvantaged family
- An individual preparing for non-traditional fields for their gender
- An individual who is a single parent (including single, pregnant women)
- An individual who is out of workforce
- An English learner
- An individual who is homeless
- An individual who is in (or has recently aged out of) the foster care system.
- An individual with a parent who is a member of the armed forces and is on active duty.
