SRC foundation bannerThe Spoon River College Foundation, which was established in 1979 to support the College’s Mission and its students, expends roughly a quarter of a million dollars annually on programs, facilities, and scholarships. To help fund these endeavors, the Foundation hosts a number of annual fundraising campaigns and events throughout the year.

In addition to the events below,  The Spoon River College Community Chorus also produces a number of performances each year, and ticket sales help to fund scholarships. Please check the SRC Community Chorus​ page for more information!

 

#GivingSPOONday

#GivingSPOONday has been an annual day-of-giving fundraiser every #GivingTuesday since 2015, raising nearly $250,000 since its inception.  Our 2023 campaign is the biggest campaign to date, with over 𝟒𝟎𝟎 𝐠𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐬 totaling $𝟴𝟳,𝟱𝟵𝟵.𝟯𝟮! !  For updates, visit the Giving Tuesday page.

GOLF OUTING AT WEE-MA-TUK COUNTRY CLUB

The annual Foundation golf outing occurs each year in July at beautiful Wee-Ma-Tuk Country Club in Cuba. The event is a full day of golfing, contests, food and fun. Since its inception, the outing has raised well over a quarter of a million dollars for the SRC Foundation.

In terms of dollars raised, our golf outing is currently our biggest fundraising event each year, typically raising $20,000-$25,000 annually. Our 2023 event took place on July 28, 2022. ANNUAL ALUMNI AWARDS

The SRC Foundation hosts an annual Alumni Awards Reception and Athletic Hall of Fame Dinner geared to honor past graduates of Spoon River College for outstanding achievements in their professional and public lives.  The 2023 Awards took place on November 4, 2023.  For additional details, or to nominate an someone for an upcoming award, please visit our Alumni Awards page.
