During Maggie’s time at Spoon River College, she was an active member of Phi Theta Kappa and found SRC to be the ideal place to begin her college journey. Staying close to home allowed her the time and space she needed as she wasn’t yet ready for a four-year university and was still exploring what she wanted to pursue. Completing her general education courses at SRC gave her a strong foundation while she discovered her path, and she remembers it as a great transition into college life.

After leaving SRC, Maggie continued her education at Illinois State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in finance. Her professional career began at the Bank of Farmington, and in 2020 she joined Edward Jones as a financial advisor, where she continues to serve clients and her community.

Her commitment to giving back extends beyond her career. She volunteers with the Farmington Athletic Booster Club and plays an active role in local leadership as the Vice President—soon to be President in 2026—of the Canton Area Chamber of Commerce.

Looking back, she speaks fondly of her SRC experience. She cherishes the lifelong friendships she made and values the supportive environment that helped her grow. She recommends SRC to anyone who is unsure of their career path or not quite ready for the atmosphere of a four-year university, believing it to be a welcoming place for students discovering their next steps.
