This season also marks a new era for the chorus, with Katey Davis, Lindsey Larson, and Chad Murphy stepping in as artistic directors, succeeding longtime director Carol Davis.
“Every year we welcome back familiar faces and meet wonderful new ones, singers of all ages, all backgrounds. There’s no audition process. If you love to sing and want to be part of something joyful, you belong here,” said Lindsey Larson, one of the chorus’s artistic directors.
“As has become the tradition, this season’s concert will feature sacred, traditional, and secular songs in a variety of musical styles and instrumental accompaniments,” said John L. Davis, chorus conductor.
Rehearsals begin Thursday, September 17, at 6:30 p.m. at First Christian Church, 215 W. Elm Street, Canton.
Tickets will go on sale mid-October. Proceeds fund scholarships for SRC students. Please visit www.src.edu/chorus for more information.
