Hannah Stinocher has joined the nursing department at Spoon River College as a full-time faculty member, where she will be teaching OB/GYN and Pediatric nursing, as well as Medical/Surgery and Mental Health.
Nursing director Becky Sherwood said that Stinocher used an interactive tool during her interview that “thoroughly showed her ability to utilize technology, capture the audience, and have fun with learning. Hannah is motivated, eager, and excited to share her knowledge and experience with students. She is a great fit and a wonderful asset to our nursing department.”
Stinocher, who earned a BS in Nursing from Methodist College and a MS in Nursing from the University of Illinois, said she was excited to be joining the SRC nursing team.
“Teaching the future generation of nurses has been something that I have wanted to be a part of for many years. I feel fortunate to be employed at a college that places such high value in their employees and their students!”
Having lived in Macomb her entire life, Stinocher considers herself a true “Macomb Homie.” She and husband Josh have a one-year-old son, Bennet, who “is our world!” and a cat named Calvin. She enjoys traveling, cooking and baking, and spending time with her family.
