Spoon River College is inviting volleyball alumni, friends, and community members to the annual Green & Navy Volleyball Scrimmage on Saturday, August 15, at the Multi-Purpose Building on the SRC Canton campus.
The event begins with alumni registration at 12:30 p.m., followed by scrimmages starting at 1 p.m. SRC volleyball alumni will have the opportunity to take the court alongside the current Snappers volleyball team in a fun afternoon celebrating the program and reconnecting with former teammates.
Head Volleyball Coach Cain Kamano looks forward to welcoming alumni back to campus as the team prepares for the upcoming season.
“This event is a great way to bring together generations of Snappers volleyball,” said Danielle Cheatham, Assistant Director of Athletics & Intramurals. “Our alumni helped build the tradition of SRC Volleyball, and we’re excited to welcome them back to campus to reconnect, compete, and encourage this year’s team. Whether you’re playing or cheering from the stands, we hope you’ll join us for an afternoon of Snappers volleyball.”
Community members, family, and friends are encouraged to attend and watch the scrimmages, even if they are not participating. Admission is free, making it a great opportunity to support current and former Snappers while kicking off the 2026 volleyball season.
