The Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) program at Spoon River College, allows students to earn a certificate that will prepare them for a career in the HVAC/R industry. Designed to meet current industry needs, our HVAC program focuses on hands-on learning and practical application. Students train on industry-standard equipment while developing skills in system installation, electrical components, refrigeration, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance. The program emphasizes practical skills, problem-solving, and workforce readiness to support students pursuing immediate employment or continued technical training in the HVAC field.
