After graduating with an Associates of Arts and Sciences from SRC in 2013, Krysten came back in 2018 as a non-traditional student—juggling school, work, and family life with a husband and child at home—to follow her passion for nursing.

She earned her LPN in 2020, then became an RN and stepped into her current role at Graham Medical Group in 2021. She’s been there ever since, specializing in family practice and urgent care and caring for patients in our community.

Krysten chose SRC because it was affordable, close to home, and offered smaller, more personal classes—and that support made a big difference while balancing everything on her plate. Even during COVID, she says her instructors did everything they could to help students succeed.

While she didn’t have time for campus activities, she built strong friendships with her nursing classmates—so strong that her group, the “Canton6,” still gets together today.
