POLICY:Â Final examinations are generally given during the last scheduled class period of the semester which is reflected in the academic calendar.
SCOPE:
This policy applies to all Spoon River College faculty and students.
DETAILS:
Faculty are required to schedule a meaningful activity during the last week of the semester as the meeting times in this last week are designated as regular class times and count toward the overall seat time.
Final exams or activities for the following will be arranged by the instructor: lab components of courses, PE activity classes, independent study courses, and courses ending prior to final exam week.
Final exams for online classes must be completed by the end of the semester as designated in the academic calendar.
Any deviation from the final exam policy must have the prior approval of the appropriate Dean. Once approved by the Dean, it is the instructor’s responsibility to clearly communicate the changes to the students in a timely manner.
