Spoon River College is offering technology classes for those ages 50 and over. Class sizes are small, and taught at an unhurried pace. The next series of classes starts Wednesday, August 5th in Macomb.
-FREE Job Skills Classes in July
Goodwill and Spoon River College are collaborating to bring FREE workshops to the residents of McDonough, Fulton and Mason counties. The three modules cover a range of topics—helping participants improve needed skills that employers are looking for.
-Pharm Tech Plans for Fall 2015
Students in the Spoon River College Pharmacy Technician Program will soon be completing their training. The Spring program is being held in Macomb and will finish up in June.
-Havana Retirees Learning Institute
Spoon River College’s Retirees Learning Institute will take place Friday, March 20th at the Havana Spoon River College Center beginning at 8 a.m. and ending at 2:30 p.m.
-SRC Concert Series Begins Jan. 18
The first SRC Series Concert, sponsored by the SRC Community Chorus, begins Sunday, January 18 with popular singer/songwriter Barry Cloyd.
-SRC Offers NEW Adobe InDesign Class
Canton - Spoon River College is now offering Adobe InDesign. Class will be held on Tuesdays, January 27, February 3 & 10 from 5-7pm at the Spoon River College Canton Campus.

A Food Service Sanitation Manager Certification (FSSMC) course will be held Monday, December 8th from 8am-5pm at the Spoon River College Macomb Outreach Center or on Monday, December 15th from 8am-5pm at the Spoon River College Canton Campus.
-CE for Managing Brokers (Dec 2014)
Macomb - Spoon River College is offering a 12 Hour Managing Broker Course on Wednesday, December 3rd and Thursday, December 4th from 9am-5pm at the Spoon River College Macomb Outreach Center.
-Farmington Classes Now Available
Thanks to funding provided by a grant from the Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity’s “Eliminate the Digital Divide” program, Spoon River College will be offering FREE technology classes this Fall in Farmington.

A short electronic survey will be sent to over 600 businesses within the Spoon River College district on Monday, February 10 to ascertain what employee trainings are most beneficial to west central Illinois business and industry.
-Pearson Vue Testing Center at SRC
The SRC Office of Community Outreach has an agreement with Pearson VUE, the computer-based testing (CBT) business of Pearson, to test candidates pursuing their GED (general equivalency degree) and exams for the Illinois Licensure Testing System.
-Concealed Carry Class Available
Elam Private Detective, Inc. in partnership with Spoon River College is offering this 8-16 hour course approved by the Illinois State Police and it is available to those planning to apply for the concealed carry license.
