Macomb - Spoon River College has two upcoming SLR Photography classes to be held at the Spoon River College Community Outreach Center.
“SLR” Digital Photography will be held on Wednesday, May 8th & Thursday, May 23rd from 6-8 p.m. This class is geared toward the student who uses a Single Lens Reflex (SLR) camera with interchangeable lenses. This class is NOT designed for those with a point & shoot camera. Learn the various settings of the SLR camera, including ISO, correct aperture and shutter speed. This is an excellent class for anyone who already owns or is looking to purchase their first SLR camera.
Advanced SLR Digital Photography will be held on Thursdays, May 30th & June 6th from 6-8 p.m. This course is an excellent follow up to SLR Digital Photography and is geared toward DSLR owners and experienced amateur photographers who enjoy taking pictures but want to improve their skills. Learning focuses on Light Metering, pop-up and external flash photography, white balance, lens usage, and mechanics of taking better pictures.
