Canton - Spoon River College has several upcoming classes for those interested in photography. Courses include: Advanced SLR Digital Photography, Photo Sharing, and Adobe Photoshop. These courses will be held at the Spoon River College Canton Community Outreach Center.
Advanced SLR Digital Photography will be held on Wednesdays, April 25th and May 2nd from 6-8 p.m. This class is an excellent follow up to the SLR Digital Photography basics classes. Aimed at DSLR owner and experienced amateur photographers who enjoy taking pictures but just want to improve their skills. Learning will focus on light metering, seeing the LIGHT in a new way, pop-up and external flash photography, white balance, correct lenses, and mechanics of taking better pictures.
Photo Sharing will be held on Tuesday, May 1st from 6-9 p.m. In this course you will learn how to edit, save, and download your photos to your computer, cd, and flash drive! You will also learn how to share your favorite photos with friends and family through email or Facebook! There will also be an opportunity to peruse free resources online. Attendees must have basic computer knowledge and skills prior to this class.
Adobe Photoshop CS4 will be held on Tuesday, May 22nd from 6-9 p.m. In this class you will learn the secrets of professional image editing. Basic techniques will be introduced to students using Photoshop CS4. Digital photography was made for the internet and the digital age. There are literally thousands of things you can do with a photograph. This class will teach you how to make your photos SNAP.
