Macomb- Thanks to Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity’s “Bridging the Digital Divide” grant, we are able to offer our Basic Computer classes at no charge to participants. Seating is limited so sign up now and take advantage of this opportunity. Classes are held at the Spoon River College Macomb Community Outreach Center.
The Basics of Your Computer will be held on Thursday, May 10th from 5:30-8:30 p.m. In this class you will learn basics such as using the mouse and starting up/shutting down your computer. You will also learn how your computer is organized, how to create, save, copy, rename files and much more.
The Basics of the Internet will be held on Thursday, May 17th from 5:30-8:30 p.m. The Internet is full of resources! In this class you will learn how to search the World Wide Web and gain tips on using secure sites, saving sites as Favorites, and using the History.
The Basics of Email will be held on Thursday, May 24th from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Whether you need help in creating a new email account or to gain tips on how to use your existing one, this class if for you! Join us and learn to compose, send, reply, and forward email.
