The Spoon River College Conference Center is located in Engle Hall on the Canton Campus.  The facility was constructed in 2003.  The state-of-the art facility includes two large meeting rooms, a small conference room, a computer lab, and a catering kitchen.  All of the meeting space includes multi-media technology to enhance presentations. 

A circle driveway in front of the center provides convenient access for attendees, as well as loading and unloading of meeting materials.  The Canton Campus offers free, convenient parking with handicapped accessible parking available in front of the conference center. Contact Pam Rose at 309-649-6206 to reserve space or if you have questions.

The Canton Community Outreach Center, located on the 3rd floor of the Opera Professional Building, 45 Eastside Square, features two presentation labs and one conference room.

Both labs contain individual computer stations, an instructor's station with large screen projection, a Bose sound system, a document projector, VHS/DVD players, and a Smart Board.  The labs are excellent for small presentations from 8-20 people, instructional classes, and meetings.

The small conference room also contains projection and internet capabilities.

All computers are served by a T1 internet line allowing for high speed connection.

The facilities may be utilized by district residents, institutions, or businesses by appointment.  In some instances a small fee may be charged.

The TLC in Canton is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 - 4:30 p.m. and at other times by appointment.

Facility requests for classrooms may be submitted in advance, but will not be considered/finalized until the academic schedule is complete for that semester.

CATERING

Food and refreshments may be served in areas specifically designated for this purpose.  For information about Spoon River College catering services, call 649-6294 or 649-6312.  Outside caterers may be used, but are required to have available, on the day of the event, copies of the State of Illinois Department of Public Health Food Service Sanitation License.

TECHNOLOGY RESOURCES

The SRC Conference Center, Community Outreach Centers, and technology-enhanced classrooms are equipped with a variety of audio/visual and computer equipment.  Use of equipment may require training and needs to be scheduled 15 days prior to the event.  Technical assistance is available for $25 per hour.
