Capital Campaign

In 2007, the Spoon River College Foundation Board and the Spoon River College Board of Trustees approved retaining the services of Goettler and Associates of Columbus, Ohio to do a study to determine the feasibility of conducting a capital campaign in the Spoon River College District (Illinois Community College District 534).

For several months representatives from Goettler and Associates conducted interviews with individuals in Macomb, Rushville, Havana, and the Canton/Peoria areas. Approximately sixty interviewees participated in the study to determine SRC distinguishing characteristics and identify those persons that might be willing to assist a capital campaign effort through participation as a volunteer, or by referral of individuals willing to assist. The interviews were completed July 12 and the results have been tabulated and analyzed.

The final report will be presented during a joint meeting of the Spoon River College Board of Trustees and Foundation Board members scheduled for September 2007.
