Free lunch, free t-shirts, and lots of door
prizes are on the agenda for the orientations that will be held for new
students who will be starting at Spoon River College this fall.
Orientations will be held from 9 a.m. until noon
on Tuesday, August 19, in Lower Level Centers on the Canton Campus and on
Wednesday, August 20, in the Academic Success Center (M206) on the Macomb
Campus. Students may attend at either location, and are encouraged to RSVP
online at www.src.edu/admissions/Pages/rsvp.aspx.
Students unable to attend either day may complete an online orientation at http://bit.ly/O3Im6T.
“This event gives students the opportunity to
tour the college, to get an overview of the support services available to them,
and to receive information about financial aid options, student clubs, and so
much more,” said Janet Munson, director for enrollment services. “It’s also a
great way for them to start meeting other students, staff and faculty. We have
fun with it!”
There is still time to register for classes. The
16-week session and the first 8-week session of classes of the fall semester
begin Monday, August 25, and the 12-week session begins Monday, September 22.
The FAD (Final Add Day) is the Friday before each session begins.
