Due to the success of the Make It Happen Monday
registration event held July 21 at Spoon River College, it will be continued
throughout the month of August, with a few changes.
“We will offer extended hours on Mondays,
Tuesdays, and Wednesdays starting in August,” said Missy Wilkinson, dean of
student services. “We discovered that staying open that extra hour and a half
made a significant difference to many who attended the event, especially those
already working or who had care-giving responsibilities during the day.”
No appointments are necessary, and both new and
returning students will be able to apply, test, meet with an advisor, register
for classes, and make payment arrangements in one visit. Financial aid staff
will be available to answer questions about the financial aid process. A valid
picture ID is required.
“While we are only going to be doing the late
hours on three days, we will be offering drawings for door prizes and
refreshments every day,” Wilkinson said.
The extended enrollment hours will begin August 4
at both the Canton and Macomb campuses, and hours for Monday thru Wednesday
will be 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Regular hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. will be observed
on Thursdays and Fridays.
Fall classes start August 25, and the final day
to register for these classes is Friday, August 22. For more information, visit
